Brad Myers' Personal Board Page

In the Spring of 2007, when Nell Barnes asked if I would be interested in joining the Board of Directors of Learning Together, I had no idea what I was getting myself into.  Having worked with young people for the majority of my adult life, I knew firsthand the impact we can make on children's lives on a daily basis and appreciated those that do that as a career.  However, I never realized or imagined what incredible things Learning Together did and was so glad that I accepted her invitation.  Since joining the board, I have seen the lives of children changed on a regular basis due to the tireless efforts of Nell and her staff, lives of children that would otherwise be much more difficult and lives of parents who would otherwise have no where to turn.  As a new parent myself, I now can see why Learning Together is such a godsend for parents with kids that have development disabilities.  Learning Together is making a positive impact in Wake County and this community would be worse off if Learning Together were not in it.  

 

If you have a love of children and would like to help us make a difference, we would ask that you support Learning Together with your dollars, time or energy.  I never realized that an organization could have such a big impact on my life and I am so happy that I made the decision to join this board to do my small part to help make sure we can help as many kids as possible.  Feel free to contact me if you have an interest in joining our board or if you'd like to volunteer your time for Learning Together.  I assure you, your life will be impacted positively and you'll be able to take away a great feeling of helping kids in our area.
