Dear Friends,

Despite any differences that we have – political, philosophical, religious, etc – one thing we can universally agree on is the promise of a young child. Full of potential and not yet jaded by “the way things are”, children are a beacon of light for all of us.

At Learning Together, children of all backgrounds and all abilities do exactly that – learn together from teachers, specialists, and most importantly, from each other. Since I joined the Board several years ago, I have been to the daycare center numerous times, and every time I visit I am inspired by the positive attitude that is present in everyone. I have brought groups of employees and peers to Learning Together with me, and it is always a moving experience.

I joined Learning Together because I was looking for an opportunity to give something back to the community, and the best I could offer was my business skill set. As it turns out, that was something that the Board was also looking for at that point. What I didn’t realize at the time was how much the staff and students would come to mean to me since that time. Especially now that I have children of my own, ensuring a positive experience for our students is a must.

These kids deserve a chance to reach their full potential, and I am proud that my work with Learning Together may help enable that. Please join me in support of these children, and let’s prepare them for a life of “what can be.”
