Frances Bobbie's Personal Board Page

As the mother of four young adults, I look back with gratitude to the times in my life when someone was there to  guide me as a parent.  Resources were there for me from my family and from my community.  As a committee member of the North Carolina Child Advocacy Institute from 1992-1994, I learned the importance of early childhood development.  The work of that organization led to the creation of NC Smart Start, and in 1993, Learning Together was honored as the site for Governor Hunt’s announcement of his Smart Start initiative.

This is my time to give back to my community, and I am proud to be associated with Learning Together.  Since 2001, Learning Together has been awarded a Five Star Rated License from the NC Division of Child Development, the highest license awarded by the state of North Carolina.

Even more importantly, when I enter the parking lot at Learning Together, children run up to hug me, and address me by name (with a little prompting by Nicolette).  There is nothing greater than seeing those joyous faces and knowing that your support makes a difference!
