Lead Teacher

Position
Learning Together is seeking Lead Teachers for our Developmental Day Program. Learning Together’s Developmental Day Center is an inclusive program that is NAEYC Accredited. The Center is a 5 STAR child care center currently serving children ages 18 months to 5 years of age with and without developmental disabilities. 

*There are 2 current openings for the 3-5 years old classrooms.*

Hours
8:00am – 4:30pm

Compensation
Commensurate with experience.  Learning Together offers competitive salaries and benefits.

Responsibilities
Lead Teacher is responsible for the daily instruction of their classroom. Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:
•    Daily Instruction of 18 students in an inclusive classroom
•    Writing and Implementation of IEP for 9 Wake County Public School Students
•    Lesson Planning (Creative Curriculum)
•    Classroom management
•    Facilitating positive relationships with other co-workers including two Teacher Assistants
•    Reporting and Record keeping
•    Communication with Parents, Therapists, and other professionals

Skills Required
•    Licensed by NC Department of Public Instruction in Birth-Kindergarten, Early Childhood, Special Education, or Preschool Add On
•    Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children
•    Experience with children with special needs preferred.
