Learning Together Announces Triangle Rock, Paper, Scissors Showdown
Raleigh, NC--Learning Together, a private nonprofit that meets the developmental, educational, and health needs of children of all abilities, is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Triangle Rock, Paper, Scissors Showdown on April 27, 2013. The fundraiser, which is a March Madness-style roshambo tournament, will be held at Solas in Raleigh. All proceeds will benefit Learning Together.
“What a fun, entertaining, and competitive way to show your support for an organization,” said Nell Barnes, Executive Director at Learning Together. “In a community with so many great nonprofits and fundraising events happening on a regular basis, the Triangle Rock, Paper, Scissors Showdown is unique and stands apart from your typical walk/run, wine dinner, or golf tournament.”
The Triangle Rock, Paper, Scissors Showdown starts at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Current sponsors for the tournament include Solas, Davis Graphic Designs, Trail Creek Investments, Yankee Belle, Spin, and CARQUEST, our Presenting Sponsor. “Our sponsors make all the difference in helping us fundraise so we can meet the needs of all children,” Paul Neal, president of the Board of Directors, said. “This unique fundraising opportunity would not be possible without assistance from organizations and volunteers, and we can’t wait to compete in the ultimate contest of skill, fun, and luck!”
Financial and In-Kind sponsorships are still available. Information on sponsorships can be found on the Triangle RPS Showdown website. Individuals can buy a General Admission ticket, which includes a bracket slot, food, and a Triangle RPS gift, for $30 or a VIP ticket, which grants them a bracket slot with a bye through to the second round, for $45. Tickets for participants go on sale in mid-March.
New in 2013 we are excited to announce the addition of Pre-Showdowns at locations across the Triangle as well as a Kids' Division. Check the website for upcoming events, including First Friday in April and the date for the Kids’ showdown.
