Learning Together Undergoes Building Renovation Beginning May 23rd

Beginning Monday, May 23 the Crosby Garfield Building that hosts Learning Together, Telamon HeadStart, Wake County Youth Services, and Strengthening the Black Family, will continue to undergo major renovations.

As part of the renovations, the entire interior of the building will receive new paint, carpet, trim work, tile floor, and new step surfacing. The renovation will happen in phases with Phase 1 starting one the second floor of the building and working down the hallway.

During the renovations, staff will be in and out of their offices and working from home at times. Services for the Developmental Day program will not be interrupted or canceled due to the renovation. The program will operate out of HeadStart classrooms for several weeks during the months of June and July.

However, the Community’s Program Thursday morning playgroup will be canceled for Thursday, May 26 due to the renovations. Further playgroup sessions may be relocated to other classrooms in the building during the summer to accomodate renovations.

The entire renovation is scheduled to last from May 23rd through August 15th. We ask for your patience during this time as dates and times for renovation projects are not set in stone.

We will continue to update you on the progress being made in the building. Please continue to check our website at www.learningtogether.org and our facebook page at www.facebook.com/learningtogethernc. We look forward to having the renovations completed and showcasing our new building to all with the start of the new school year in August!

If you have any questions or concerns about the building renovation process, please contact Debra Halley at debra@learningtogether.org.

Thank you for your patience and your cooperation!
