Learning Together Welcomes New Members to Board of Directors

(RALEIGH, N.C.) — Learning Together, a private nonprofit that meets the developmental, educational and health needs of children of all abilities, proudly announces Diane Schabinger and Rhonda Clark McNairy to the organization’s Board of Directors.

“Both women have demonstrated passion and leadership in the community,” said Nell Barnes, Executive Director at Learning Together.  “We are grateful for their support and glad to have them join us as we work to meet the needs of children of all abilities.”

Diane Schabinger works as an audit manager at Grant Thornton LLP, a public accounting firm. A graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, she was looking for an opportunity to join a community board and became involved with Learning Together through the Junior League of Raleigh.

“I am looking forward to the opportunity to learn more about the organization and help raise awareness for its cause in Wake County,” she said.

Rhonda Clark McNairy, a certified public accountant, has served and worked with a variety of nonprofit organizations. In addition to holding numerous positions with the Junior League of Raleigh, she has served on the Planned Parenthood Board of Directors as well as coordinated Learning Together’s Annual Auction Gala. McNairy received the Triangle Business Journal 40 under 40 Award in 2006.

“Since becoming a mom approximately four years ago I have become very passionate about children’s issues,” she said. “I am honored to serve on their board as they help all children reach their potential.”
