Learning Together welcomes new Assistant Director

Meet Charles Skeeter. Charles will be assisting Jan Baker, Director of School Operations & Education.

Learning Together is very excited to welcome Charles Skeeter back to Learning Together as our new Assistant Director. A graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in Early Childhood Education, Charles has over 11 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education and has been teaching children of all abilities throughout this time.

Charles previously worked at Learning Together between 2017 – 2019 while he obtained his B-K license. He spent the last 3 years working for the Children’s Developmental Services Agency providing program coordination to families throughout Wake County.

When asked why he chose to return to work at Learning Together, Charles answered,

“Learning Together has been the pioneer for inclusion before inclusion was main-stream practice. The center has always had a rich history of embracing others, meeting children where they are, and helping them achieve their highest potential through their inclusionary programs and community involvement. I was so excited when I stumbled upon Learning Together a few years ago and truly enjoyed the difference I was able to make in the lives of children and families through my work as a teacher in the Daisy Classroom.

Coming back to the center as Assistant Director feels like returning home. I’m excited, and eager, to hit the ground running. It is my hope that I can continue to be a part of all that Learning Together has to offer in changing the lives of children and families in Wake County.”

Charles will be working primarily with the school staff and you’ll see him most often downstairs in the middle of all the action. Learning Together is fortunate to have Charles back on board!
