Learning Together announces new mission, vision, and values.
Hear from ED/COO, Kyle Reese, as he talks about our new mission, vision, and values.
I have been privileged to officially serve as the Executive Director/COO of Learning Together for over a year now and I want to share with you the progress we have made.
My first goal after taking on this role was to reset our intentions and focus on the impact we have on the children and families we serve. With that in mind, I worked closely with the board and staff to define a new mission statement, a new vision, and a new set of values. These principles will act as our guide throughout all areas of organization, from the boardroom to the classroom and into the community.
Learning Together’s certified developmental day center and community of resources empowers children with and without developmental delays and their families with the tools and skills essential for a life of learning and success.
We envision a future where children of all abilities and backgrounds have access to high-quality, equitable education and resources, families are equipped, and the broader community collaborates to inspire lifelong learning.
We seek to achieve our mission and vision through these priority values:
We continually strive for a fully inclusive, accepting, and welcoming school and work environment through student enrollment and talent hiring principles and practices.
We use the same evidence-based curriculum for all children while incorporating differentiated teaching strategies to meet the needs of each individual child.
We continually research and implement today’s best practices in education delivery methods in conjunction with creating diverse business and community partnerships.
We work tirelessly to create a world where access to high-quality early childhood education is available to all children and families, with a community of resources to support their educational and personal journey beyond school.
We treat every child and person we encounter with compassion, respect and humanity; every individual has value.
I am hopeful for the future of Learning Together as we apply the mission, vision, and values to expand access to high quality early childhood education; work to dismantle the biases facing children due to disabilities, racial/ethnic background, and socio-economic status; and provide children with healthy bodies, minds and opportunities.
Finally, as we embark on another school year filled with uncertainties, I am exceedingly grateful for the families that have chosen to entrust us with the social-emotional and academic education of their children. It is a wonderful feeling to know our center is fully operational and students of all abilities and backgrounds are receiving the educational experience they deserve.
With sincere thanks,
Executive Director // COO
